Without You...a poem

Without You
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
How I yearn for you,
when you are gone,
images flashing,
plaguing my mind
with memories
that warm the depths of me.
Each moment we are parted,
exists only in expectation,
the knowledge that we will be again.
Time slows to a torturous hum,
as if in slow-motion,
seconds like minutes,
minutes like hours,
until your touch brings me back,
enlivens my soul to knowing.
Without you I am lost in waiting,
my heartbeat shallow
and my breath a whisper,
words unspoken,
poised, void of expression.
My dreams dissipate,
and all that is left is you,
beside me,
my meaning, my reason,
my revelation.

Lovely work of passion and love.
What a beaytiful and full of emotion, poem! I am so little to express an opinion in poetry, but this one has touched my inner self. That I know...
Absolutely beautiful words - I could feel the aching of the parted lovers and then the joy of being together again at last.
cripes... that yearning.... that deep well of .... well of...
