Together in Grace

Within the limits of singularity,

we choose not to be alone,

to greet life in a stance of unity,

a common thread of sovereignty.

Together life’s harsh trials and joys are shared,

and in love we find meaning within life,

accepting faults

and celebrating triumphs.

In partnership we find selflessness,

the capacity to surrender will,

and the knowledge that we are fallible,

and can learn from our ineptitudes.

In the partnership of love,

we find the most valuable lessons of being,

lessons that without sacrifice,

would never grace our consideration.

In love we find our greatest conflicts,

and our greatest potential,

in learning to be honest with us and others,

for without that we would truly be alone.

The blessing of a love partnership

is the core of discovering the bounty in life,

the simple experiences that imbue

both hope and future for our kind.

In love we discover our souls,

the abiding capacity of life within us,

and the power of acceptance

and the willingness to find kindness and compassion,

within the cold realities of human strife.

Together in grace we live,

and acknowledge both individuality,

as well as the potential that union brings,

a light within the darkness of ignorance.
