To Touch a Soul
By Tony DeLorger © 2012
When first a love does touch a soul,
a world of dreams invites be told,
of pleasured pain, exquisite joy,
within loves arms no harm destroy.
Like wings of angels wrapped deflect,
the darkest lies of life bereft,
and swell the voices of heaven’s throng,
to vanquish all that’s done the wrong.
In love’s light do we find our course,
for no other purpose absolves remorse,
giving flight to souls laid down,
with burdens harsh but truth abounds.
For love sweet breath can enliven hope,
give meaning, heart and soul revoke,
the petty trifles we so often abide,
when truth is plain and we decide.
In love we surrender our self to still,
for another’s life before ours till,
the purity of our giving heart,
redefines our life from start.
With love as one the two refrain,
from shallow life and trite disdain,
to follow the souls expected path,
of love, compassion and joyous start.

This is so lovely, Tony. The poem and the pictures you chose are beautiful together, like two souls that have touched each other with love. Wonderful !
