The Art of Words
By Tony DeLorger © 2012
Words, as pure as the feelings that enliven them,
disarm and imbue hearts more than any action,
their subtle ripples the tender comfort of a soul,
reaching out through the mists of human illusion.
Words resound deep within a soul,
reaching the darkest corners of vulnerability,
the silent cores of fear and hurt endured,
tucked away in isolation to preserve the fragile self.
No other form of communication can deliver such complex nuances,
such razor-sharp wit, such profound meaning
and such enlightened possibilities,
all of which can touch a life, even transform it.
No more beauteous images can be attained than by the painting of words,
their colours, shapes and subtle inferences guided to a heart’s centre,
with blood like deliverance to every cell,
saturating life with knowledge and emotion.
The art of words is a gift of gilded purity,
given to feed the world on the miracle of existence,
the pure and endless opportunity of life,
that can soar to the heights of heaven and affirm loves power.
Words are the chosen passage of truth,
the vile lies of ignorance and the trite mutterings of ambivalence,
all of which enlighten our souls to the passage of life,
and in doing so we hope to discover our capacity to love.
Words are thoughts struggling for understanding,
clothed by the hands of a master,
with open heart and a loving intent.

So you used the written language to express the power of written language? WORDCEPTION! O.o
Great poem though. :)
I would have to agree with you about language being so powerful. Some very cool images you found for this hub.

I love this because I too believe there is art and power in words. Wonderfully written.
