Opened
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
Bared to rest, open and vulnerable,
I resist the urge to protect, to close.
Who am I to choose?
a human frailty of misunderstanding,
assuming control when there is none.
Prostrate, an open heart to share,
weak from human strife,
yet empowered with love,
I remain in your hands.
I give all to us,
the rising of the morning sun,
the waxing moon
and a million stars that blanket,
our earthly nest.
I give to you everything,
my heart, my will, my life,
knowing that in your hands I am safe,
alive, inspired and blissfully happy.
In your hands I am free,
unencumbered by past,
uncomplicated by my grasping thirst,
just tranquil, like a shimmering stream,
flowing silent, resolved in being.
Opened to your world I am complete,
striving to be all I can,
bringing my world to order, into yours.
You offer me compassion and understanding,
and touch my soul in a profound way,
a way that gives me strength and courage,
to be me, to open my heart
and to live in my truth.
I am open because of you,
and all I am is yours.

Vulnerability...the hard, and blessed stuff of love. It is what makes our lives full and meaningful.
Thank you for sharing!
