Love’s Grace

Love’s grace is complete when souls accept change,
allow love to evolve, embellish and infuse a life
with the depth of understanding that transcends
all preconceptions about sex and physical gratification.
Profound is the joy of the connection of love,
the intimacy of silence, knowing,
and considering selfless gestures and care.
Fulfilment is not about the ecstasy of orgasm,
but the blissful serenity that acceptance and sharing creates.
Too much are we swayed by false expectations,
delivered from the calculating minds of commercialism,
of greed and cultural indoctrination
brought about by manipulating emotionalsim.
Partnerships driven by such ideals are doomed,
the elusive dream of monogamy torn by sexual hedonism,
the fantasy so eloquently painted in our minds.
Yet happiness neither results nor enters the consciousness,
when expectations are never achievable.
Suffering can only result.
It is in love that respect is found,
an irrepressible support and nurturing
that gives not only a foundation to a partnership,
but to each individual encouraging self-fulfilment
and the growth and understanding of the couple.
Love is without end, neither quantified nor contained in its potential.
