In Your Hands
By Tony DeLorger © 2011
In your hands I am me,
without the cravings for acknowledgement,
without the yearning for touch,
without the searching for place,
with love in my heart.
In your hands I am free,
free to express myself,
free to abandon inhibitions,
free to explore life unencumbered,
and to immerse myself in joy.
I your hands I discovered me,
what I want in life,
what I need to survive,
what thirst has until now never been quenched,
and now resides in the blissful acceptance of love.
Yet you are not my reason, my saviour,
you are far more.
You have made me realise what I was lacking,
what I’ve been missing
and what potential I have.
You are my reflection without the missing pieces,
and I hope I am yours.
Together we are whole, separate
but as one the power of life.
In your hands I’ve found peace.
