In Silence- some thoughts

In Silence
By Tony DeLorger © 2012
How subtle the answers to life,
like wisps of a breeze passing,
ever enticing, seducing with whispers,
imploring attention.
Words like lilting melodies,
hover momentarily,
inviting understanding,
and the silent realisations of truth.
How complex we are in our thoughts,
trapped in an avalanche of ideas,
barely seeing within the vortex of confusion,
the cacophony of human traffic.
Yet in silence can we hear,
the voices of reality,
the faint glimmer of reason,
and the stark and often harsh truth of us.
In silence the whispers resonate,
without the trickery of delusion,
and the denigrating words of doubt.
Here, life professes truth, clean and cut,
for we to acknowledge,
to accept and move forward,
and to relent on self-sabotage.
Here in the silence of mind,
can we hear in crystal tones,
what ego so blatantly casts aside,
what fear holds fast,
and what we need to understand.
In silence can we listen to the whispers of life,
through the deep gravel of self-preservation,
into the clear waters of truth,
it rises within us.
How subtle the change,
yet how dynamic the transformation.
