Considering...

By Tony DeLorger © 2012

In quiet repose I consider my heart,

enlivened and filled with you.

Your breath my own,

your steps as mine,

our paths winding into one divine direction.

What purpose I had alone now speaks,

with tender words combined,

to elevate our being one,

and in love a life of sharing.

Quietly, I summon my soul,

to recognise my reflection,

the other half of my whole,

my one surrender to life’s will.

Before it haunted me,

from the darkness of my void,

but now it surges into life,

into the expression of a loving mind.

Now, amid my metamorphosis,

the veil of wants and needs aside,

you stand before me,

your hand outstretched,

and I without qualm accepting

what rests in the heart of right.

Where you have been is no matter,

how lost I’ve been the past,

for now in the strength of union,

we have found each other, at last.

Tony, this is a lovely poem that holds so much love and a positive look to what is entering the life of one who loves. Up, Beautiful, Awesome.

You are a romantic and great poet.
