A Youth’s First Mark
By Tony DeLorger © 2012
Ever sinning, ever led,
ever rescinding what I’ve said,
ever creating, ever spayed,
ever male, female dead.
Crushed by notions,
of stoic stance,
unbreakable minds,
in big-boy pants.
forever held,
unleashed in regimes,
in capture meld.
Reluctant parry,
fears so entrenched,
nurtured to spoilt,
in life skills unspent.
Lost and so senseless,
delusions of pain,
in womb, dark, returning,
with nothing to gain.
By force must return to
potential a task,
blind faith implored
to relinquish the mask.
In life there’s a bounty,
for those who embrace,
the bravery of conquest,
abiding the race.
There is a light.

Wow! This one is really a shout in the darkness of life. You are such a good poet and always keep me waiting for your next poem, for I love to read them.
Way UP!!!
